Adam Toy, a seasoned senior solutions architect, has been promoted to chief technology officer at Rancher Government Solutions.

The secure enterprise open-source Kubernetes and container management company said Tuesday Toy will oversee its technology portfolio’s platform engineering, architecture and product development. He will help further establish the RGS’s initiatives in advancing secure modernization across the public sector, including hybrid cloud to the tactical edge.

Who Is Adam Toy?

Toy is a founding member of the RGS technical leadership team. He has over 10 years of experience delivering open-source technologies to the U.S. government and military and developing secure, interoperable cloud-native infrastructure for mission-critical settings. He also brings significant knowledge in Kubernetes, Istio, AWS, DevSecOps, edge computing and microservices.

Before his promotion, Toy was the chief architect and senior solutions architect responsible for platforms such as RKE2, Harvester Government and Carbide. He spent over six years at IT Concepts as a senior DevOps and software engineer, where he spearheaded the research and development team while overseeing the low-side DevOps CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure. The new CTO also served as a senior systems programmer at Georgetown University. He started his career at CyberSpace Solutions, where he was the systems and Kapow administrator, a proposal coordinator, and an IT consultant.
