The U.S. Special Operations Command has begun soliciting input on a draft request for proposals for the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services II, or SOF GLSS2, contract.
Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services II Contract Details
According to the notice posted on SAM.gov Monday, the SOF GLSS2 is a single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quality contract with task and delivery orders of multiple contract types. The deal has a guaranteed minimum value of $10,000 and a base period of five years with two three-year options and one one-year option. If all options are exercised, the total value will increase to $10.5 billion, while the total ordering period will be 12 years. Interested parties have until Nov. 14 to submit their responses to the draft RFP.
Contract Scope
The contract covers the procurement of global lifecycle logistics and sustainment support for the SOF, centered around the following core competencies:
- Streamlined design and rapid prototyping
- Production, modification and integration
- Lifecycle sustainment activities
The required logistics support will cover SOF’s aviation, ground and maritime platforms, and various systems. The contract also includes the provision of enterprise functions, such as facility management, supply chain management, IT management, security, environmental, safety and health services, field support, and industrial operations. These functions will be utilized for running government-owned, contractor-operated-like operations.
