Boeing has announced the appointment of Jesus “Jay” Malave as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Aug. 15. Malave will replace current CFO Brian West, who will become a senior adviser to Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg and assist with the upcoming CFO leadership transition.
Who Is Jesus “Jay” Malave?
Malave most recently served as CFO of Lockheed Martin. Throughout his three-year tenure at the company, he oversaw all internal and external financial reporting and investor relations. He played a key role in the development of Lockheed’s strategic growth plan and the evaluation, execution and integration of mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Lockheed, Malave spent nearly three years as senior vice president and CFO of L3Harris Technologies. He also held the CFO role at Carrier and UTC Aerospace Systems.
His private sector experience also included over a decade of holding leadership roles at Pratt & Whitney, including serving as finance director for commercial engines programs.
Malave earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Connecticut, a master’s in accounting from the University of Hartford and a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
