Mach Industries has raised $100 million in a round of Series B financing led by Khosla Ventures and Bedrock.

Establishing ‘Asymmetric Unmanned Capability’

The defense manufacturing company said Tuesday it will use the capital to expand its flagship factory Forge Huntington; scale its tactical engine division Mach Propulsion; and advance the continued deployment of its unmanned defense systems: Viper, Glide and Stratos.

“Mach Industries exists to enhance national readiness and preserve America’s strategic edge,” said Ethan Thornton, founder and CEO of Mach Industries.

“Global security depends on America’s ability to create asymmetric unmanned capability. That means scaling production, building new facilities and fielding systems that deter conflict,” Thornton added.

Sequoia Capital and existing investors participated in the latest funding round. In 2023, Sequoia made a seed investment in Mach Industries.

What Does Mach Industries Do?

Established in 2023, Mach Industries builds advanced unmanned systems and the manufacturing infrastructure to scale the production of such systems.

The Huntington Beach, California-based company is establishing a vertically integrated industrial base for unmanned warfare. It works with the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Special Operations Command and other agencies within the Department of Defense and allied governments.

The company’s distributed model is designed to drive rapid iteration and operational resilience, helping the U.S. and its allies accelerate the deployment of next-generation systems.
