Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has recruited Kris Mork, a former Guidehouse director, to serve as its chief data officer. Mork confirmed her new role in a LinkedIn post Wednesday.Â
The biomedical and health informatics expert will drive Leidos’ data strategy and governance in support of its customers in the health care and civilian markets.Â
Mork brings to Leidos decades of leadership experience at Guidehouse, Mitre and Noblis. At Guidehouse, she got to work on contracts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and she most recently held the role of director of data assets and governance. She was also appointed director for public health informatics at the management consulting company.Â
At Mitre, Mork served as chief data wizard for nearly five years. In this role, the University of Washington graduate was in charge of technical aspects for federally funded research and development centers focused on modernizing health care.Â
Mork also held the deputy director of research position at Noblis, where she worked with employees to come up with new ideas for research and review research proposals.Â
